St. George

St. George Episcopal Church
The church where many of the early Bullock family were baptized, married and laid to rest.

1. John Bullock & Harriet Dent

John married Harriet Dent in 1833 in Clarenceville, QC. They had eleven children and raised their family in Clarenceville. This is the line from which my family are descended. Most of John's children remained in the Clarenceville area as well as Vermont. From there the family spread to New Hampshire, New York, Iowa, Minnesota, California, Washington and British Columbia.

3. Daniel Bullock

Daniel and Sarah (see #5). No records have been found for them. Daniel and Sarah "Sally" are known only through being mentioned in their father, Benjamin's, last will and testament. At the time of Benjamin's death in 1846, they were not living in Clarenceville and we don't know where they were. They are also mentioned in an 1853 petition by their brother, John, related to land jointly owned by a number of relatives including Daniel and Sarah. In the petition, they are listed among those who are said to be absent from the Province of Canada and are either in the United States of America or are in parts unknown and have been so absent for the last ten years and more. We don't know where they were born. There are no records of them in the family's history in Clarenceville. It is probable that they were born before the family came to Clarenceville.

4. Elizabeth Bullock & Samuel Orson Clark

Elizabeth married Samuel Orson Clark in Clarenceville, QC. The date is unknown. They raised a family of eleven children. Many have been difficult to trace. Those we have found remained in the area or moved to nearby Sutton, QC. Elizabeth & Samuel died in Clarenceville. The church records for the Clarenceville Methodist Church show funeral services and burials were carried out in Clarenceville but the cemeteries are not indicated.

6. Hannah Bullock

Hannah died in 1830. We don't know when she was born. She was unmarried.

7. Henry Bullock & Laura Ann Lee

Henry married Laura Ann Lee. We don't know where the marriage took place. One of his children was born in Alexandria, NY, which might indicate they lived there for a time. He died in Andover, NH. A number of his children lived in New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. Laura Ann died in Verdun, QC.
